In August 2024 Architectural Digest published a tour of Ince, written by Paola Singer and photographed by Ben Pentreath, our architect and designer.

It tells how we arrived with plans for sweeping changes, and then, after a few months of living here, decided we could not improve on the layout. As we put it to the magazine, "who were we to criticize 400 years of habitation?" Instead of rebuilding, Ben set about decorating: antiques of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries alongside contemporary art, rooms in bold colour, and classic English papers and fabrics.

The article also pays tribute to the gardens, planted in the 1960s by Lady Patricia Boyd and later enriched by her daughter-in-law, the present Lady Boyd.
