Stable Cottage is one of a pair of cottages made from the old stables. Its arched white doors open on to the cobbled yard, where pots of tulips and wallflowers in spring give way to roses and sweet peas in summer.

Inside it is simple, comfortable and full of colour: a sitting room with terracotta walls and a fireplace, and a kitchen with a long wooden table, usually with flowers from the garden on it.

There are three bedrooms, two doubles and a single, sleeping five, and two bathrooms, one of them with a roll-top bath.

Dogs are welcome. Do bear in mind that other dogs, some of them large, also live on the estate.
